SureFire has announced the availability of a new LED head for their white-light/infrared M600V and M620V Scout Lights which is almost a quarter of an inch smaller in diameter than its predecessor. In addition to being smaller, the new head is also 1.5 ounces lighter resulting in nearly a 20% weight reduction for the M600V and almost 23% for the M620V.
Output and runtime remain unchanged with 150 lumens of white light or 120mW of infrared output selected by twisting the self-locking selector ring on the bezel. As with the previous version a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens is used to shape the beam, providing significant reach while retaining plenty of spill to maintain peripheral vision.

The remainder of the light remains the same as the previous M600V and M620V with all aluminum construction and either black or tan Mil-Spec hard anodized finish. Activation is possible with a tailcap click switch or the included remote tape switch. Both versions may be attached to MIL-STD-1913 rails via thumbscrew clamp for the M600V and SureFire’s proprietary Swing-Lever™ clamp for the M620V, which even allows attachment to out of spec rails. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $485 for the M600V and $595 for the M620V.
The M600V and M620V are available for purchase directly from SureFire or from their authorized retailers.
